CoatRestore® - Dogs/Cats
Scratching. Shedding. A coat that doesn’t look right.
Most people try to fix what they see.
But the real issue is underneath.
Instructions
Add to food daily and mix thoroughly
- Adaptation: Start with 50% dose for 2-3 days
Daily dosage
- Small Dogs (< 22 lbs): 1 - 2 ml (use the included dropper)
- Medium Dogs (23 - 45 lbs): 4 ml (just under 1 teaspoon)
- Large Dogs (46 lbs+): 8 - 10 ml (about 2 teaspoons)
- Cats: 0.5 - 1.5 ml (use the included dropper)
For doses of 4 ml or more, a standard measuring teaspoon is the easiest way to dose. 1 teaspoon = 5 ml (universal standard).
Week 1-2
Most pet parents don't notice much yet. That's expected — and it's not a sign it's not working. The oils are building up in the system. The skin barrier takes time to respond from the inside. Stay consistent. This is exactly the phase where most people quit other supplements too early.
Week 3-4
This is when most owners start noticing the first signs. Less scratching. Fewer restless nights. Skin that looks calmer. The coat may start to feel softer to the touch.
Week 6-8
Visible coat changes become more obvious. Less loose fur on your couch and clothes.
A shinier, fuller-looking coat. Dogs who were constantly licking or chewing their paws often show significant improvement by this point.
Week 10-12
This is the full picture. Most pet parents at this stage say the same thing: they stopped thinking about the problem. Not because they forgot — because it stopped being a problem.
Daily use maintains results. CoatRestore is a routine. The skin barrier needs consistent nutritional support to stay strong, especially since commercial dog food loses 50-70% of essential fatty acids during processing.
Individual results vary by breed, age, diet, and health condition. Results are most consistent with daily use over the full 90-day protocol.

Five oils. One daily dose. Every ingredient has a role — and every active amount is guaranteed per serving.

- Borage & Evening Primrose Oil – Highly concentrated sources of GLA (Gamma-Linolenic Acid) that support the body's natural response to skin irritation.
- Boswellia – Contains active Boswellic Acid to help soothe dermal discomfort and promote a calm, itch-free coat.

FAQs
CoatRestore is ZenPaw’s daily oil for dogs and cats built to support skin comfort, the skin barrier, and coat quality, which can help reduce excess shedding linked to dryness and irritation.
It uses refined, deodorized wild small fish oil (anchovy/sardine) plus organic flaxseed oil, borage oil, and evening primrose oil, with guaranteed actives per 5 g including EPA + DHA ≥ 900 mg and GLA ≥ 50 mg.
Most pets need consistent daily use for 6 to 8 weeks to judge shedding changes.
Coat feel and shine can improve earlier, but shedding follows the hair cycle, so the real test is consistency over weeks.
- 1 to 5 kg: 1 ml/day
- 6 to 10 kg: 2 ml/day
- 11 to 20 kg: 4 ml/day
- 21 to 40 kg: 8 ml/day
- 41 kg and above: 10 ml/day, then add 0.5 ml for every additional 5 kg
▶️ Tip: For medium and large dogs, skip the dropper and use a measuring teaspoon instead. One teaspoon equals 5 ml everywhere in the world, so dosing is quick and accurate.
For cats, follow the cat directions on your ZenPaw label.
Most supplements — whether it's salmon oil, a soft chew, or a powder — cover one part of what the skin barrier actually needs. They give EPA and DHA, or a blend of vitamins, but they leave out GLA: a fatty acid the body can't produce on its own that plays a direct role in skin moisture retention and barrier function.
Soft chews and powders also tend to carry fillers — tapioca starch, pea flour, palm oil — that take up space where active ingredients should be.
CoatRestore is a liquid formula with five active oils, including GLA from two sources. No fillers. No starches. Every active amount guaranteed per serving. It's not more of the same thing. It's what was missing.
Mix it into food. For sensitive stomachs or picky pets, start at half the daily dose for 2 to 3 days, then move to the full daily dose. You can split the dose into morning and evening meals.
Per the ZenPaw label and packaging: refrigerate after opening, shake well before use, and use within 45 days of opening. Keep the cap tightly closed and do not use if the seal is broken.

Yes. CoatRestore is a 100% natural oil-based formula designed for daily nutritional support.
It contains no fillers, synthetic additives, or artificial preservatives. It can be used as part of a long-term skin and coat routine.
In most cases, yes. However, if your pet is already receiving high-dose omega supplements or therapeutic skin treatments, consult your veterinarian to avoid excessive fatty acid intake.
Because it's not a basic supplement.
A single-oil salmon supplement uses one ingredient.
CoatRestore uses five active oils — including GLA, which most brands don't include because it costs more to source. Every active amount is guaranteed per serving. There are no fillers, no starches, no palm oil taking up space in the formula.
